My 49cc engine I put on a beach cruiser has always had oil leak issues so I ordered replacement gaskets ! My question can I just replace the top cylinder gasket a,d exhaust gasket and intake gasket ? Or do I need to replace all the gaskets
Right on thanks for the info and advice very much appreciated ! Enjoy the dayWelcome to the forum, from your post it sounds like you have a 48cc 2-stroke. Yes you can replace only the head and exhaust gaskets, a lot of the heads are not completely flat as they come, lightly sand the sealing surface on sandpaper taped to a known flat surface. I do that to every head I remove or buy. You need to torque the head nuts to 10-12 foot pounds, if you get them too tight or uneven you can warp the head. Use blue loctite on the exhaust studs to keep them tight.

Remove the plug and plug it in the cdi and lay the plug on the head so the hex touches the head, now roll the bike with the clutch out and watch for fire as the engine turns over.
