Nova II (Atom) ignition module

The Boy Who Never Grew Up
Just wondering if anyone has used one of these ignition modules on a bike engine... as a replacement for the China girl or to update a vintage engine?

Here's a listing for one on ebay...

Price is reasonable and I know the Atom was used on all sorts of small engines before the patent ran out and now the Atom comes under the name of many manufacturers. Just wondering if this would be an improvement to the China girl ignition and something to replace hard to find parts in an old 2 or 4 stroke vintage engine. It was a big deal when first invented.

im unsure what its capable of? im using a standalone computer ignition map i built but its not something everbody needs.

That unit is made to replace the points & condenser on older flywheel magneto engines.

If you have ever had to remove the flywheel to adjust the points on an older Briggs & Stratton or chainsaw you need one of them. Best thing that ever happened to older engines.

It does not perform the same function as the CDI box for the chinese engines. Only for use as a replacement for points on magneto systems.
