no spark

I put together a 49cc motorized bicycle about a year ago and has run fine since.
All wiring seems fine, but not getting any spark to plug. How do I check ou the CDI etc

How did you determine that it has no spark?
Tell us what you did to check.

What I would do is... Take out the spark plug & put the boot back on it; Then touch the threads of the plug to the fins on the engine & have someone lift & spin the rear tire so the engine turns over real fast & see if the plug is sparking.

Thank you for your reply- I had done exactly what you sugest, but how do I now determine if the CDI or magneto are at fault

the only way to try it is trial and error if theres is no spark replace the cdi if it does not work replace the mag

Have you tried disconnecting the kill switch?

removing the kill switch wire was done- still no spark
