Next build old indian

Finally time to start next bike.
For this one I bought frame/engine kit from Sportsman Flyer.
Very good company to deal with.
Going for 1910 (or so) Indian single with barn find patina.
next up is bending handlebars and making front end.
Haven't had much time to work on it so it may be a while ...
Sportsman kit is top notch

Tell me about the flathead kit on the motor, please!

Just some 20 gauge metal plasma cut for the head.
The bottom part ( trans case ) is the same gauge. Rolled and fitted.
Just meant to dress up motor a little.

Are you thinking about a leaf spring front fork?

Eventually I will make one similar to the first bike I built.
But for now I wil use a monarch springer due to lack of time and wanting to finish it.

added shifter, made new front fender and headlight. not sure about the headlight though.

Your bike is top notch on the vintage tip.

I really like the front fender. Did you hand-bead that piece? If so, how did you do that? Did you add on thin rod, or did you run it through a beading contraption?

Anyway, super authentic patina, you should be proud.

Thanks for the nice words. I will post pictures of the bead roller, really not as good with the bead roller as the pictures lead to believe..... must be the rust on the fender....

Modest as well, decorative iron work on the front of your shop was a giveaway to a metal worker...and not everyone has an English wheel sitting next to a bead roller. both show intent to work sheet metal. Just a nosy old guy's passing observations. Build on. It's all good! Rick C.
