Newbie here...looking for right engine/parts for towing on hills

So this is the first time I've heard of using a reversing transmission and reversing the motor. I love the idea way less things to fail less wasted energy in the drive train and it puts the exhaust to the back! does anyone have any pictures I think this is how I'm gonna go!
