I'm david h, and just ordered a Cadillac Fleetwood with NuVinci transmission (hub), from Bikes4Families :: Cadillac Fleetwood Cruiser for $299.99 w/free shipping. As this is nearly the price of the retrofit hub, I could not pass it up.
My plans are to use a second chainring something like the Staton set-up using the NuVinci hub to utilize the best part of the 4 cycle engine's power band. I want to mount the engine in the bike's triangle replicating the look of early motorcycles.
Many more ideas, but need to do it in stages, as I'm retired with more wants than money.
