I have done my first build from a fixie road bike. Now I want to build a
stretch cruiser. Some question for you guys.I want to build this bike
from a used bike & stretch the frame ect.

I have mig & tig welders & a tube roller & a small machine shop.
I,m thinking 24" wheels.What bike would make a good build.Remember
I,m very green when it comes to bike cycles so I don't know what to
look for.

Know what would really make those wheels come to life?Brushless Hub motors ;)
Nothing tops a super slick ride like it being silent!

Flyman- My favorite is the classic Schwinn Stingray, or some variation thereof. Can't beat the look. Check out some of the build pics here for ideas. Keep us informed, and good luck!

Flyman, I'm doing my first stretch now. The 7g 4stroke is a nice fitting/looking motor. But I would have mounted it about a quarter of an inch to the left (as I sit on it) for more tire clearance with the 415 chain. I welded the mount plate dead center. I think I recall somebody saying to do that but I guess I forgot. I got a 64 t sprocket for pulling the hills around here and the chain doesn't have much room for adjustment for frame clearance. I am using precision sprockets and a weld-on arc bracket to alleviate that problem. I'm anxious to get it rolling. It has 25 inch apehangers. I'll put some pics on here when I get it done.

Parrotbiker I would love to see a pic of your build. Now remember I,m new
to this so many questions from me.How many inches added is the norm?

Most do 54" to 56" wheel base. If you read Mr.B's you will see he flipped the head tube,he cut it just right so when he flipped it ended up longer...........Curt

I finally got my stretch fine adjusted and that little 7g 4stroke is really nice. It's my first 4 stroke and for steep grades like where I am, it is so much better. That along with the 64t sprocket is fun on that stretch. Definitely has some torque. I am going to post some pics on my profile. I don't see a way of putting them on here.
