New to motorized bicycles

Hi All

I live in the Portland, Oregon. I have on occasion seen a few motorized

bikes here. What I really would like to know is if the gas powered engine

ones(non frame mounted--Honda, Robin, and Titan) can still function

in the rain.? We sometimes get rain that actually falls hard. Sometimes

comming down at angles(wind aided).

I don't intend to ride it real fast in the rain.

Thanks

Clarence

Welcome to the forum! I would think so, rain is not a large problem with these engines. Ask thatsdax.com, really good folks, and my friends. (c)

welcome lizard; all will run in the rain, use a silicone spray on electrics and carry a can of wd40 in drink holder.

Ha, ha, ha... Yep, stude is right, We have been there. Get going so fast and ride the Storm Out rotfl Plumbers putty surronding your plug, Yoda will tell you the rest.

There is some stuff called "Stuph" available at your local hobby shop- look in the R/C boat section. Makes electronics waterproof.

Engines themselves usually have no problems, but the plug wire/magneto/cdi/ect. could use a dose.
