New resistor cap, is it ok

After looking around the site, i saw someone mention that a new boot needs to be a non resistor, and in the title of this boot i just bought it says resistor, do i need to worry?

I've used a 1K cap on solid core wire and it worked OK, but a 5K cap had a noticeably weaker spark.

For non-terminal nut caps, I use NGK LZFH - for the terminal nut types, any lawnmower store has good rubber caps.
