New Motor - gaskets Q

If I go ahead and take off the head and/or cylinder, will my gaskets need replacement?
I understand they may get damaged, but if they are not?

This motor has not been run.

If you are careful you can reuse undamaged gaskets...but new is always better. Go easy on the sealer too.

Well, I went ahead and took the head and cylinder off, lucky for me (I guess?) I could have loosened the bolts with the weight of the socket wrench handle alone. I wonder how many people don't check for torque?
What is the torque on those head bolts, I assume size 8 studs?
I wonder if the Chinese person who tightened it was exhausted, near the sixth day of a 12-14 hour shift?

My gaskets are in good condition.

I did some gasket trimming, and port grinding I will share on another thread soon.

I noticed the ridge or squish band lines up poorly with the head gasket, has anyone made a gasket(s) with a pop can?
