This is my second build. It started as a 17" Mongoose mountain bike i stretched out about 5" and lowered 2" in the rear. The frame has been reinforced and gusseted and I added the rear facing drop outs from the WCC donor bike along with the triple tree forks. i also modified and sealed the WCC gastank to function. The bike rolls on Sun ringle MTX33s with a nuvinci n360 hub int the back and shimano disc brake hub up front. 203mm rotor up front 180mm on the rear being squeezed by cable pull hydraulic brakes.
The engine is completely rebuilt from the ground up. caes has been port matched and stuffed, bearings replaced with SKF 6202, crank is 42mm stroke thats been trued and balanced and stuffed, cylinder is a G5 sleeved cylinder i milled to accept the dio reed block, 3rd transfer port has been added along with a modified highly polished piston and namura rings. cylinder head is a Puch Tomos 70cc hi hi head with a modified combustion chamber, squish gap is set to .7mm. exhaust is a slightly modified mz65 pipe and the clutch is from darra mfg. it is also equipped with a 6sigma nitrous kit. its about 99% finished there are still a few little things i have left to do but esssentially its finished.

This build is so great I didn't mind you showing us it twice!
Seriously well thought out and screwed together. Nice job getting the tank to work out the way you did. .
Particularly impressive drive-train. Looks like this bike was built with some competitive track work in mind...?

lol im not sure how i did that. thanks for the compliments. im in ontario canada and im not aware of any racing for these bikes around here. after getting bit by the bike bug last year and having so much fun i just wanted to build another bike that looks cool and goes fast.

Having fun is the main criteria for most of us on the forum.
I'm betting you'll get your share riding your second build.
Thanks for sharing.

You've built yourself a great bike! Pete's comments mirror my own in regards to hmmm, well everything. I'd mention the stretch, I've stretched two of my bikes to 53" wheelbase and what a difference it makes. The Mongoose frame looks terrific with your modifications and I'd say sprint bike look mated with café styling and it really works.

Engine mods are good ones and the NOS should build some serious extra power. Do you use half pound bottles?

This is a sweet build no matter how one looks at it. Well done even if it's not completed!
