My mate gave me an exhaust

It's basically that. It's a straight through, so probalby really loud. Is there anything I should consider before installing this?

I'd say probably equivelent to the stock ones. 66cc motor.

There are 3 screw holes on top. My plan is to get a metal plate, and cut it out the same shape as the top. Then cut the pipe off my current exhaust, and weld it to this plate, then bolt it down with a gasket in between.

Done. I decided to skip the whole metal plate idea. I got an old bike exhaust I had, and cut 80% of the muffler off, and just welded it straight on to the exhaust. It fit perfectly. It sounds amazing too, and I actully got a suprising performance increase. Normally I sit at 39-42kmh on flat road. I was doing 45-46kmh. I normally do 29-32kmh up hills, i was doing 38-40kmh.

I had 1 problem though. I thought the carbon fibre look was just painted onto a thin piece of steel, but once I started welding it basically just melted. So I cut a small piece of the exhaust off, redrilled some holes and fixed it.
