My Lights

Here are a couple pics of the lights on my trike. The headlight is a 55 watt off road light that I had laying around. The tail light I picked up at a truck stop. It has 24 LED's and is wired up on the brake light side of the unit. Both are VERY bright.

Taken at about 55 feet:

The conversion kit you see on Ebay and from Spooky tooth come from China.
They copied the guy from Minnesota who has been building the 3 wheel bike axle for about 20 yrs.

Great Lights! Those suckers are bright!

I am big fan of 'being scene' too and lights really help.
Does your front light strobe for daylight riding?

I lost count of how many times my front strobe has prevented an accident for me in daylight riding.

I'm using a $35 3-mode CREE 1200 Lumen LED with 7.2V Lithium Ion battery pack on all my personal rides, I keep one on hand for customer bike test rides and urge my customers to buy one too.

I just finished up a 36V electric trike and made sure it can be seen at night.

The 3 under the basket are 12V auto lights wired in series across the 36V LI battery, just for giggles and grins I left them on for 36 hours and the battery still had a full charge ;-}
