my homemade vintage trueing stand

a guy who makes cool bikes
i've had a 1938 Wards/Hawthorne all aluminum girls bike for a year sitting around waiting for me to restore. the tubes are lugged in, and one of the lugs was cracked, so i figured i'd see if i could alumiweld it. and i did, worked great. while i was waiting for it to cool, i decided to straighten the rear chainstays. put a little hand pressure on them, and SNAP.

alumiweld ain't gonna fix 70 year old, brittle aluminum. and if it did, i still wouldn't ride the bike.

so, here it is. i gotta add the original head badge, then it'd be really cool...

i know, but it was a hairline crack, cosmetic mainly. i just needed to fill it in. the thing just snapped like a pencil, though. i'm glad i didn't try riding it.
