hello all. i need some help here. i noticed today after my first long trip. that the pipe is turning yellow right after the motor. the motor has 120 miles on it . this was my first two stroke and im not sure what its suppose to act like. to me it feels like it starves for fuel at times. its a 80cc with a 36tooth sprocket. 27in tires. is it running lean or rich. the only thing ive done are drill holes in the muffler.

As long as you are using enough oil 20:1 mixture you should be fine. It's probably not to unusual for this cheap chrome to start turning yellow. My motorcycle exhaust pipes always started out yellow and ended up turning a bright blue for the first couple inches out of the jugs.
Just make sure you are mixing enough oil.

I've got just over 100 miles on my engine and the bend in my exhaust is a really pretty yellow/gold color. I've seen a lot of motorcycles get this way too so I figure it's normal. Mine just isn't happy starting in 40 degree weather. I have to do a lot of peddling before it finally cranks.
