Mounting Batteries?

Putting the battery in the front triangle is the best thing you can do.
I can't recommend it strongly enough. It is a massive improvement for handling versus rear mount. You've got the right idea.

Anyone else interested in doing that - i recommend the FalconEV bag very very highly. I use it on my bike now after trying dozens of different other methods.

Can't do much about the smart pie, it's a dinky motor. not sure why they bothered releasing it. geared motors in that size are much more powerful.

My 45A BMS connectors get warm, very warm. Not hot though.
Didn't notice till I redid my mount for the batt/bms and meter shunt. The 100:1 shunt also
gets slightly warm. Go LiFEpo4, I love my 40A/24v system! Flat range around 65mi WOT.

Not much, hence the reason I ride the "450w" bike instead of the 250w hub motor.
The reason I put 450 in quotes is that I can show 35Ampres draw, not watched the voltage
sag but if it's 29.6v that's 1036Watts!!!!! ;->
For those who don't know Pittsburgh Hills, google 'dirty dozen bike race' or 'Danny Chew
the million mile man'
The images are priceless!
Btw:I get around 40miles INCLUDING above mentioned hills, about 15% pedaling.
