laffcan anyone tell me with the chinesse motors that ratle and ting where the noise is actully coming from Is it coming from the piston head barrle area or from the crank shaft area I would love to know Ihave two motors that make this noise is it causing damage thanks mick29
 
Sounds like the fairly common wristpin slack slap noise. I have built a few bikes and ridden them for 100's of miules with that noise....none ever blew up.
 
Some of the kits have a exaust pipe with a large loose spring that holds a loose baffle inside them... they are rattly and "tingy" sounding.
 
i heard many noises from these engines and bike frames.
ringing noise: comes from head,place rubber hose between head fins.
scraping noise: place 2 or 3 gaskets under clutch cover or fix cover if dented.
tinging noise: chain is wacking bike fender,adjust chain and notch out fender.

i now have little or no noise from bike or engine.
