Mothballs and High Octane Results

Has anyone ever tried the ole racecar driver trick of melting a mothball in the gas to boost it to a higher octane performance?

hi tim; i think m/b are made differently now. high octane is not good for these low compression engines. you can lap the head, remove base gasket, port exhaust, change plug and wire, port intake. when all that is done you might find you started with a low hp engine.

Yep, these engines wll almost run on turpentine....higher octane would only make the fuel burn slower in these engines....if that's posible.

Thanks. No mothballs to be used.

He broke a spoke
