It is a frame only with a shwinn crank and sprocket, would it be a good buy for $70.00 and a suitable bike for a second build.

Go for it- a classic bike.

I might put some alloy rims on though, and some 1.75 tires- which may be period, (early 60's and later) or even some 1.5 tires.

If no cracks in the frame, YEAH! - get it! I would.

Well I just lost out on the frame, it was sold before I had a chance to get there, 250 miles from me. Darn!!!

Ive got a vintage Schwinn Frame sitting around, some wide cranks, and some other bits if you are looking and dont mind the shipping.

However shipping would likely be expensive to my part of the country to Northern Ontario Canada. that is unless you live within a couple of hundred miles from me. buffalo is 300 miles north to my location.
