f you have a spare. it must be working. dont send me a bad one and cheat me out of money. willing to pay $10 or $15 shipped but no more.

it more than likely is the magneto.
mags go out more often than cdi's.
if you want to just throw money @ it, get the mag & cdi.
besides the spark plug & wire it is the whole electrical system. so you will have them both to diagnose & have a spare.

pirate has the cdi for 10$ & a mag for 15$ shipping should be cheap.
 
you are referring to the magnet that spins, right? I have a spare magnet. pirate is out of stock and everywhere else wants too much. I was already thinking of changing the mag anyway.
 
The magneto magnet rarely goes bad, the coil does. The copper wire can break due to vibration.
 
greg is right. the mag coil not the spinning magnet.
also i broke my mag coil by going through a deep puddle & water was stuck in the mag case.
 
they probably have the cdi for pretty cheap too. of course, I see the cdi on ebay for about $16 shipped, and since no one has reaponded that they are willing to sell me one, I'm no longer interested in buying one from amyone here, so please don't email me. a buddy of mine has a meter, so I'm gonna test my cdi ad coil hopefully one day this week so I know which part is bad.
