N Nick9105 New Member Sep 16, 2020 #1 Just built a 49cc kit (chinese cheap). Apon riding for around 10 minutes, the spark plug is ridiculously hot, burned my hand and melted the spark boot. Should I use a different plug? Currently using NGK B-4L.

Greg58 Well-Known Member Sep 17, 2020 #5 With NGK plugs the lower the number the hotter the plug range, 4 is very hot.
