CLUTCH IS CHATTERING BAD WHILE ENGAGING, SEEMS FINE WHEN FULLY ENGAGED. ANYONE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM OR A FIX. i'M USING A 10T CLUTCH TO A 24T DRIVEN ON A JACKSHAFT TO A 10T TO A 44T SPROCKET AND A 26'' WHEEL

Nature of the beast. even when new they chatter some. Do you give your bushing a couple drops of oil frequently?

Might be time for a new bushing, they are normaly kinda short lived. They aren't hard to change.

Hey Rotary Guy,Is the clutch held on the end of the crank with a bolt and 1.125" washer?...Has the bushing been oiled?....Its new right?...May take a while to set the shoes...Is it ringing at lockup?...all clues....Tigmaster....

Contact Jim @ Max Torque via their website link & spend about $80 to have the bronze bushing removed & upgraded to a precision bearing & the shoes/springs replaced w/ a more durable set...
