L luke duke New Member Sep 11, 2008 #1 The 2 covers on the chain sprocket side of the bike are very hot! after a long ride. Iss this normal? is it anything to worry about, apart from being careful not to burn a hole in my leg when i get off!

Bikeguy Joe Godfather of Motorized Bicycles Sep 12, 2008 #3 If it's that hot, you may want to check for a lean running condition...or other source of heat. I have ridden several hours in 80+ degree heat and while the engine/covers were hot, they were never so hot as to cause burns.
