I'm looking forward to meeting the guys who Ride M/C, seeing some cool pictures and enjoying awesome stories of your adventures

While I've had many M/C over the years today I ride a 2022 HD Heritage 114ci 1868cc Cruiser/Tour
I live in SoCal and it's year round riding here, If it's not raining I'm riding.

SoCal has alot of beautiful country. Riding thru the canyons and valleys up to the snow capped mountains, down to the desert bottoms, then ride to the ocean and watch the sunset at the beach.
All can be done in a days ride.

For now I'll just show ya'll some pics of my bike.
As the weeks, months and years go by I'll be sharing pics of my rides

Many of us prefer a nice safe ride. At my age I can't tell if I'm having an adrenaline rush or just A-fibbing lol

Here's a few of the Triumphs that I've built & sold over the years... These were all basket cases when I bought them.
The green one was the latest; (sold about a year ago).

Unfortunately, there isn't much money to be made in building these anymore.

I had a friend who owned a transmission shop. He had a crate with a 76 HD Spotster disassembled in it. My first X wife threw a fit over me buying it. Around 3 weeks latter I had put it all together and was riding it.

She then told me to put a rear seat and foot pegs on the bike. I told her I'd be more than happy to do that. She thought about it for a minute then said "Oh he11 no, you're not doing that"!!! Lol That was the only motorcycle I had ever owned.

This is the Bike I had before my Harley

2009 V Star 1100 Classic Start Cruiser

I put over 225k miles on that bike Then I sold her for $2,500
Yamaha was bullet proof I never had to take her to the shop for engine repairs
I did all the maintenance myself and upgraded the clutch and intake

I know two who’ve built Harleys. One runs nitrous, another comes from a family history of racing and has a long one with 16:1 compression running methanol. These guys live more in 9 seconds than most do in a lifetime.

One can get hurt even in a car doing 25 mph; just hit another car head on doing 25 mph. This is one of my favorite Bible verses:

Be not overly wicked, neither be a fool. Why should you die before your time?

I feel this applies to things like bungee cord jumping, hunting grizzly bears with a bow and arrow etc lol

No not really. Even if you’re driving a regular car manufactured in the past 20-30 years you’ve got at least frontal airbags. Good to 70 combined head on at least. If not more.

Cross at your own risk

It might not look deep but those are the worst,
I always look before I cross places like this

It's not worth the risk, I ride thru here all the time so a detour is a piece of cake

Rode my Beemer through slippery slime many times, slow and steady on the throttle. I used to go to White Pines State Park which has several fords.

I used to cross green water on my Yamaha V Star 1100 Slow and steady
But one day i crossed this little spot and my back wheel broke loose I didn't dare let up on the gas and be stuck in the middle of the slime, by the time I got across my bike was facing the opposite direction , I did a 180, it all happened in about 2 seconds
Good thing I was going down hill, I just rolled the bike back to get out of the green

No warning sign at that spot

Yes there's drain pipes under the road but obviously they're clogged

Totally knarley spot too, it's hard to see, on a turn, at the bottom of a steep hill
Every year motorcycles wipe out on this spot

I choose to not cross green water anymore especially on a $20k Harley
Green water is as bad a Black ice


Checkout this slide spot, it claims riders every year too
There's no slow and steady on this turn it's a sure wipe out

At least the county put a sign
