Is it a Norton or....

Well I know there wasnt such a bike ever built. So i decided i wanted to make one. This bike i made out of an original 1963 26" cantilever Schwinn frame. Parts:
1) Schwinn frame (1963) 26" cantilever
2) Replica Springer fork
3) Grubee 50cc (huge mistake by the way) ill explain in a few.
4) Grubee HD hub (awesome, i still use it and i dont plan to change)
6) Custom fabricated tank (by me)
7) Cutom copper gas lines and inline micro gas filtee (by me)
Wheels and tires (ebay)

The rest ? well just looking around, ebay, sites, etc.

I hope you like.

Yours looks more authentic than my Norton. When people ask if it's really a Norton I tell them it's a 'Cadet' not a 'Commando'. :)

Beautiful build. Thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks... The frame wound up been painted all black at the end but i think in black looked way better

Great bike, love those 4 strokes.

They are ok for amateur. But i am currently using a motor that its just amazing. Im currently building a modified frame board track with te new motor im using, Superb. The motor is still 49cc (50cc). But he head is huge, dual valves 6hp, 4 speeds, kick start. I mean it is ridiculous and it is still completely legal. I will put pictures soon of it. Oh and the best of all is that it is cheaper than the kits that you get around which the only worthy thing to keep is the motor (lame).

The Reason I say that the G.duh.rubee motor was a mistake is because i bought it as a kit. The kit comes with cheap and i mean very cheap parts. The motors is great it is under power but it is a cool ride. i hit 35mph on this project with a 40T sprocket. But if you buy the motor by itself and buy the rest of the part aside you will come on top. a little more money spent but way better quality of parts over all.

Yep. The tank has to be 50% of the work on a bike. I'm re-doing my tank right now and already I have 19 hours into it. There is a difference between my old tank that relied on epoxy to fill every pinhole and silver soldering a tank properly that doesn't need any liner at all.

Yeah, I weld the tank as good as i can and then i line it inside with Kreeme , So far this product is the best i 've found. I tryed the silver soildering , but holly bubbles thats a lot of work.
