In need of advice on a bucking bar ball mistake

My clutch might as well be screwed... I was reassembling my parts today and I made a very, very bad error in putting my clutch back together. I had set aside my bucking bar and ball for regreasing and I set my ball in this circular cylinder for safekeeping. I forgot it wasn't supposed to go in the clutch. :(

I put this in my clutch in the order of:

bucking bar-->bucking ball---->cylinder thingy

I took the bar out but how can I get the ball out to get the cylinder thingy out? The ball is impossible to grab with anything!
 
A magnet might work. If you can find one the right diameter to go in the hole.

Is the cylinder thingy plastic? If so gently drill it out. Then use a pick tool to finish fishing it out of the way.

I have a telescoping magnet that extends 14" out of the middle
of a screwdriver. Kinda of like an old style car antenna or on
a radio.
The magnet keeps the hex bits in too as well as holding screws
Perfect for removing the ball from the motor and picking up
dropped parts from awkward places.
Great tool!
then use an ice pick on the plastic thing.

Where did you get it? I need to go buy one asap! I'm going to check Sears.
