The idea of a motorized bicycle first came to me when my wife said, "Let's get bicycles and ride around to help us stay in shape..." The first thing that came to mind was how great it'd be to zip around at 30mph and pretend to burn calories. 
So, I'm absolutely new to the motorized bicycle community but I'm pretty sure it's going to become an addiction soon. I don't have a bike OR an engine, but I have the mechanical know-how and the desire, so I've been bike-hunting for the past few days, looking for a nice bike to start with. My initial thought of using th epropane engine from my weedeater quickly went away when I considered the lack of torque associated with such a small engine.
