I want one of these....

I was watching Discovery Channel the other day, and they featured a hand built (from scratch out of scrap metal they said) ¼ scale supercharged V8 motor.

All I could think of is how nice it'd look in frame..

There are a few of those around. There's a guy here in Denver who builds minature engines, about the same size as that Chevy, and they all run. He's built Offys, small block Chevys, flathead Fords, one with Ardun heads, and a bunch of air cooled avaition engines such as multi cylinder radials.

They are great to watch and listen to but I've always thought it was a shame that they are never used to power anything. They just sit on stands and run.
Why do these guys never build a vehicle to go with the engine?
But, they are super cool.

Interesting.. if I had the resources I'd love to try putting something like it onto a shaft drive bike. It might be tricky coming up with a way to make it remain a bicycle though.

I have a cool little OS four stroke engine that reminds me of a miniature Matchless single cylinder engine. Occasionally I'll daydream about finding just the right baby engine formula to make it grow up into something bigger :D
