How Easy Is It To Start Your Motorized Bicycle?

Re: How Easy Is It To Start Your MB?

When my two-smoker was on the old bike, it always started right up right away. True, I had tuned it as well as I possibly could. I fully expect it to start and run just as easily as before now that it's on the Higgins.

The bike I did last year I could lift the seat off the ground and kick start it with the pedal it usually took 1 kick

Depends on outdoor temperature. When it's warm...about twenty feet of pedaling. When it's cold, a few more feet. Choke, primer and there we go. All of mine are different and have different needs but all seem to like warmer temperatures. The hotter it is, the quicker they fire off. That's for cold starts. If I've been riding and the engine is warm, a few feet will do the trick.

most of my builds have been modified and with higher compression, they can't be kick-started. my newest bike i can't even get the crank to turn if i lift up on the seat and jam on it.

it starts in a few feet of pedaling, though.

i built a stock bike that would kick-start pretty easily, though.
