I was able to use a Weller 100 W gun style soldering iron and normal electric wire solder. I removed the jet and held it with needle nose vice grips and heated the end away from the threads (larger end). When it was hot enough the solder flowed in very nicely, didn't take but a few seconds (20 - 30 ). Then I put the small drill bit I needed in my cordless drill and went at it. I must admit not very precise but it got me in the area I wanted. After I determined the hole size I got a new jet and drilled it out more precisely using a drill press and better hold down clamp. I'm not a pro but it worked ....anyone else?

I use standard electrical solder.
Use the tiniest bit of solder... (Just enough to close the hole without boogering up the jet).
The stock jet in a NT carb is about a #71 drill bit; I solder & redrill it to a smaller # 73 bit. (That usually works well in 66cc HT engines).
