How come we're not seeing motorized bicycles with motors like these?

There's a lot of wisdom in both of these posts.

I think most of the parts in a kit are junk but the motor itself is pretty good and just it alone is worth the price of the kit.

As far as the mind set of motor bicyclers, that may change in time. We're still in the early days where most people still have never heard of motor bicycles. If people are willing to spend huge bucks on a karting hobby, I'm sure there are plenty of people that would be willing to spend just as much for high end motor bicycles once they become popular.

Don't worry though, I'm sure the cheap ones will always be available too.

Sportsman Racer plug and play. Direct bolt-in Morini 9.4 hp S6S engine with tig welded engine mounts. I would say this design is fully engineered and repeatable. The prototype has over 50 miles on it already. Tanks are off for safety. I would hate to dent one at this point. These stretched out Flyer frames handle beautifully. Huge drum brakes both ends.

Those look very nice. How much do motors like those cost?

The Morini S6S runs about $650.

They have wet bath Centrifugal adjustable clutches. That means you get to free up the handle bars of that clutch handle and have true separate independent brake handles again.;)
