Honda CDI coil as a replacement for the stock?

After replacing my magneto coil and now getting voltage from it, I have discovered that my CDI coil is fried (im assuming so because there is no connection between the black and blue wires of the coil when connected to a multi meter) (also getting no spark). A replacement CDI costs about $25 with about $10 shipping from most distributors. Im kinda getting tired of forking over cash to get this thing running, so i was wondering if a replacement honda XR50 CDI coil (about $17 shipped) would work?

Try thatsdax, think I saw them pretty cheap from there, about $10

Yup thatsdax $8, I do know a guy who got a cdi from a yamaha to work was a 2 wire one, but they cost $50
