Looks like Harbor Freight has just added another large 4-stroke engine to their line-up. Enter the 8hp. 301cc OHV Predator.......

A great way to add 54lbs. to your bicycle and only 8hp in stock form.....great for mid-class racing ;) I can assure I won't be putting one on any of my future builds and it's not hard to figure out why :D

Even the GX240 is huge. Ever thing about the 173cc Predator? Almost bought one the other day. It had a weird 7/8" shaft size. Cool looking engine and nice port arrangement. No mounts to speak of, though. Always fun to shop at Harbor Freight!

Sportscarpat,

I've wondered many times how close the head bolt spacing, oil return holes, valve centerline spacing...ect are on the 173cc vertical shaft engines to the horizontal shaft engines. If you're seat post mounting any of the HF horizontal shaft engines, a 173cc head from the vert. shaft engines would put the exhaust port out front and the intake port to the rear similar to the HS 49 and Honda GC 160 engines.

Lots of ifs, but would look much better on the bike.
