Newbie to the bike engine clan here...

I'm a college student trying to save money, who is also quite tired of Los Angeles public transportation. Motorcycling is no new thing to me, however the bicycle engine kit concept is. Now, for my question: I'm well aware these bike engine companies cant ship to CA addresses, but what may happen if I obtain a 66/80cc kit and use it anyways?

Thanks

there are alot of guys in California that are part of this forum and they will help you with the legal issues that might come up

legal to own, legal to ride. need at least an M2 (scooter license. M1 works, too.)

by law, you need to register it, dot helmet, headlight, taillight, left mirror and a horn.

license plate costs 19 bucks, one time fee.

no insurance needed.

use the custom search bar above and type in "the real deal on california law."

it's a rambling thread with all kinds of misinformation, but the first few posts tell you everything you need to know.

contact norm at venice bikes ( forum sponsor and all around nice guy) for engines, parts and info.

Hey guys

Thanks for your replies! very helpful! yeah, I saw venice bikes! planning on stopping by this weekend. thanks again! I will be starting my board track racer project soon. keep ya posted!

adams motorsports park in riverside. 2pm-10pm

motorized bike racing on the gokart track.

40 bucks to race, 5 bucks for a pit pass, and free to spectate.

pitpass is the way to go unless you like sitting on the bleachers.

search "bairdco racing at adams."

you can google the directions.

yup. you should check it out. pretty much every type of motorized bike will be there, and some crazy custom stuff you'll never see in one place again...
