help with gas leak

hi guys i started smelling a strong gas smell around my bike then noticed there is a leak coming from the petcock where it screws into the tank it seems to just be a seal problem was wondering if gasket sealer or something could fix it ? but also want to be able to remove the petcock if needed so i dont want it glue petcock threads to the tank there seems to be enough room for an o ring but im not sure if i can find one gas proof

Put a gasket on it or use some teflon tape on the threads. That should fix it up.

Also try some pipe dope I use small clear zip ties for hose clamps works great.

O--ring will not work tried it already.

First question... You do have the little red "O" gasket on there, right?
If so, do what mac said & use teflon tape on the threads.
