Hi guys.
my name is Chris and I am from Munich, Germany, so please excuse my bad English. Ther is very little interest in motorized bicycles in Germany so I´m glad, that I have found this Forum. I own an old MAW bicycle motor made in GDR in the late 50´s mounted to Chinese Bicycle and a russian Engine on a Ukrain "moped" (looks like the Chinese ones). I´m planing to buy a Chinese Engine for the Chinese Bike and mounting the MAW engine to an old Eastern Germany Bike. I think ther are a lot of informations about the Chinese Engines in this Forum so I register here.
I post pictures of my bikes here.

Hi Chris, you are doing just fine in the language department. Hey, all I know is English.
There was a post on those Russian engines somewhere stating the quality is far better than what comes out of China.

Chris können Sie eine Suche auf dem Honda 50ccm Moped solo, Es war noch nie hier in den Staaten verkauft, nur Japan und vielleicht Europa? Siehe Bild unten, ich werde mich mit dem gleichen 50ccm 4-Takt-Motor für meine Stretch Cruiser baut

@professor: I have found the Rusian engine post, it´s very intersting for me.

@Crazy Horse: You have built some very impressive Bikes, very cool! The Honda Solo is not sold in Germany I know one or two directliy imopted from Japan but the price is pretty high and it is very hard to get those imports road legal.
I also have a Honda 4 stroke but with the vertical cylinder engine a 1977 CY 50 (see picture). I´m mostly interested in old Italian Scooters and mopeds but I also like old Hondas.

Riding the moped must be a good way to get past the traffic congestion.
