PS...I use double face tape to keep things like headlights from falling apart, due to both bumps and vibration. Carpet tape or 3m outdoor mounting tape in small pieces placed in critical joint areas on the inside of battery covers, headline rings, lenses, and then pressed together. Keeps them tight and I have no more exploding headlights and tail lights when I hit a good bump.

As far as kick stands goes. I've use so many types of replacement stands that all worked 10 times better then stock. Even Walmart carries a good heavy duty side stand made by Bell. Do you want a side stand or a more expensive center stand? Ill post some links later tonight.

When I start the bike carb lever is down. I am using nt carb. After it warms up if I move choke arm up it will die.... in short it runs with arm down whole time.
Got a link for a god center stand?

I just bought this one and received it but I haven't installed it yet . It's going on a new huffy build looks of heavy quality though and was very inexpensive. It is all metal and the adjustment lock bolt isn't plastic like many now so it's solid as you will need.

Below is the widest most stable center stand I've found and have used these on a bunch of builds. Again I love the extra stable width with is key on a motorized bike. For 12 bucks it can't be beat. Takes 2 weeks to get them from china though.

Hope this helps

If you start the bike with lever down then your choke is fully off. Many lucky engines never need to choke unless its super cold out. That means you are already in a decent rich condition and that is best in my book, with less chance of overheating your engine and better starts ta boot. Your killing your engine when you pull the lever on cause you are then choking it and its getting way to rich. I wouldn't mess with a thing if it were me. I believe you were thinking down was choke on when in fact it was off. (see above for the center stand link)

Ok. Got some miles on her took it to work today 3 1/2 miles. Went went well. Got a few backfires. Hmmm maybe it was the head needing re torqued because it was looser than I had thought, or maybe spark plugs gap. Btw I served for spark plugs gap and didn't find a number.. I just ran it as it came from kit.. however I'm sure I should have called it... I feel pretty dumb saying it but have to tell the facts as they are and learn.. I am planning on getting a better plug... NGK B 6 I will read unless I get better advice. Any advice on gap???...Added info when I checked plug tonight after getting home it was greyish... Will.recheck in the morning after getting to work... And will recheck torque... Oh. Basic top.speed was maybe 20 mph. I feel.i should be getting more... More.info tmo after the fetorque and ride to work... Tha k you all!!!
