Well, truck and car builder, motorcycle builder for years. Scaling down. Although I don't really consider it "down". Just a different part of the same art.

Here I am up in the hills by Yosemite Nt'l Park. So, being too big, I'm now sporting a 48 tooth sprocket.

We'll see what that does. I'm pretty committed to four strokes. This build is about 95% done. Rack and some details still to come. I'd really like to find a
four stroke with a jackshaft set up that does not require a machinist.

Some stuff I can do. And, some stuff I'm just barely smart enough to know not to tackle.

Hope to be building and contributing to the Forum for a good long time to come.

Welcome and thanks for joining us and sharing your talents.

Your bike is a good looking machine. I'm partial to motorcycle fuel tanks on motorized bicycles and yours looks right at home. What tank is that?

You've probably heard this or read it here but we always warn about fenders and the potential for them causing problems. Keep a close eye on them and their mounts.

Have fun and ride safe.

Tom

Howdy & welcome to the forum!!

Been through Coarsegold many times traveling from Fresno to Yosemite. Have they got the dispute resolved with the casino?

Thanks, everyone.

Thanks for the jackshaft link and info curtis.
Tom, I have used Loctite on all the mounts and connecting points, plus beefed up the tab mounts on the fenders. But I'll watch it closely.
I can see how a loose fender could be very nasty. I appreciate the heads-up. I think the tank is from an early 60's Yamaha. Not sure, though.
I got it for $20 at a motorcycle junk yard. The 45 bucks to clean the rust and too much $$$ to the body guy to take out some dents.
Mounted it at the cross bar with a motor mount. Beside the motor and trans, I have more money in the tank than anywhere else on the bike.
Hahahaha! Didn't mean to do that!

.duh.

xseler, the casino is "supposed to" open again before the end of September. Hard to believe it's just been "sitting there" closed for such a long time.

I added a rack and a small bag, plus a wireless brake light (under the seat...you, can see it from the rear, but it doesn't jump out to ruin the bike's lines.
Got a Velocity mount for the cell phone to take a few movies and an app that will let the phone act as a speedo and odo.
