Im having trouble trying to remove links from the chain. Are there any chain tools that fit the size of the kit chains? i have a regualr bike one but it is too small. i tried hammer and tools but couldnt get that to work either

that one was from a tractor supply...

harbor fright or a similar place should have something like it..

you also could go to your local cycle shop and have them do it for you.

take beer!! they like beer lol

Try e-bay or local motorcycle shops- they aren't cheap for 415 chain- 20 or 25 bucks, and I'm not sure if there's a good one- I have one- with only one pin- so don't bend it!

lol i went to harbor frieght today looking for one, and they on had one for massive chains,at least triple the size that i had

So long as the push pin is equal to or smaller than the 415 chain, the HF tool will work.
The WallyWorld chain breakers are pretty wimpy. I doubt that it will work unless you both grind off the head of the chain link pins and get really lucky.

My local bike shop had a nice one for $10.

Two fitting groves. one for regular, one for 410. It wouldn't do 415 though.

Breaking chain makes me smile though, ditching the drive side tensioner?
That requires chain breaking, the pedal side may as well, just get a good tool, it will be worth it ;-}

Before buying the HF chain breaker, I would use a hammer, punch, nail and a board. Pain in the butt, but works. The HF one is great but had to replace the pin with a nail. Some folks grind em down.

Root, thats a great price. Just ordered one. Thanx for the link
