What's shakin' everybody? I'm new to the "motorizing your bike" following, and I am extremely excited to get my hands dirty from learning.

I am one week away from buying myself a new bike. My last one (non-motorized) was stolen.

Florida is tough on motorized bikes. Look up and read Florida's moped laws. (Must have peddles, under 50 cc, no manual clutching, no manual gear shifting).
 
Welcome to the forum. Search the legal and legislation sub-forum on this site and look for some posts about Florida. You don't want to buy something that you can't legally drive on the road. The FL laws must not be too bad because we have a ton of members from FL.
 
I see at least 4 guys a week riding theirs around my area, so they must be doing something right. Thanks for the welcome!
