Front Sprocket Won't Turn?

Hi all. I'm nearly done with my first conversion kit and ran into a problem. On the kit I am using, the lever to engage the clutch is on the front sprocket cover so I have to take the spark plug off to get it to spin freely. That's what I am told at least. Regardless of what I do to the spark plug, the sprocket won't spin freely. Please help!

Welcome to the forum, try a big screwdriver or punch to rotate it. This is done with the clutch handle in or the lever on the cover pushed in if the cable isn’t connected.

Even with the plug out you are turning the complete engine, it’s hard to do with finger pressure.
