so many differences in plate and roller size in 415 - I use half links carefully and sometimes need to file down the sides a bit on either the link or the chain - note also that the pins may drag a bit on the plastic tensioner roller

Something I am considering... I have a tensioner attached to engine, thinking to replace the pulley with a skateboard wheel as I have seen, use the stock tensioner more to the rear and thus use two tensioners and avoid the whole half link thing.

My understanding is that the whole point of half links is to be able to run without a tensioner at all. Best to wait until your chain stabilizes. When you add the stock tensioner, mark it on the chainstay and idler wheel positions so you can see if tension changes from chain stretch or tensioner creep.
