So i needed to have lights on my friction drive. Batteries are expensive and heavy, dynamo lighting is only sufficient if you're moving. So i grabbed my multi meter and went to work testing the coil for voltage.
Needless to say, the coil does put out voltage. I couldn't get an accurate reading, but it's definitely enough to power leds.
