It says, "fits most handlebars". I hope that means 7/8", which most bikes are.

I'm intrigued... but can someone tell me what it exactly does? My guess is when you use the brake, it also shuts off your engine?

You could wire it to shut off the engine but I suspect the typical set up would be for a brake light on-off. That's how I'm wiring mine although I'm using a Suzuki lever.
