first motorized bicycle HS142 4g kit + SBP

trek 800 antelope <think it's a 1992,, with green paintjob and red/white letters>

HS142f + 5:1 ratio 4g + SBP shift kit. also bought new air filter, and need suggestiosn for a muffler. saw something about a briggs/staton 2-4hp muffler but I cant find .. nor can i find the stretchy-pipe that alot of yall seem to have in your builds.

will get pics up soon, hopefully tomorrow night i will b movin

I have a 3 speed shifter/brake combo, any comments on using that as thumb throttle? Cuz I like to use my hbars to rest...

Welcome to the forum Pease, I see you've been doing your homework (^)

Using that lever for a throttle is a good idea, all you really need to make sure is you have a good return spring....it will work just fine.

hey Pease, can't wait to see the pics!

The Briggs muffler many of us 4-stroke guys use is the 4-8 or the 5-7 horse muffler.
Home Depot and Ace have it for under $10. Looks like this: Arnold M-110 Muffler 4-8Hp Bs294599.

Sorry I can't help with the flexpipe, I sourced mine from another member who had a roll of it.

alright gona check that out. The link says muffler sound is 'deep and powerful'.. I dont want much sound if at all possible, so are there ways to silence this more?

Gona c bout gettin camera tomorrow, goin to post office to pick it all up and throw it together. hope i can finally ride!
