expansion chamber question

Hi All, Just completed my first build - HF auger engine on a rear mounted chain drive. Everything is/was fine except when I bolt on an expansion chamber. When the expansion chamber is mounted on the engine the engine does not fire or start; put the stock exhaust back on and the engine starts and runs as expected. Does anyone know why this may occur? The exhaust came off a 47cc engine - the auger engine is 53cc.

Pucker up and blow through the expansion pipe it must have a restricted muffler?

I thought the HF engines were four stroke? An expansion chamber won't do anything for a four stroke.

That's an astute observation I missed that. Perhaps it is a specialty 4 smoke pipe?

The HF auger engine is a 2-stroke engine. It is the same or only slightly different than the MonsterScooterParts engine for $119.
