Electric Bike Suggestions for Adults

Hey all, I’m shopping around and could use some advice. I’m mainly looking for an electric bike for adults that’s comfortable for longer rides but still has enough power for hills and maybe light trails.
Not trying to overspend, but I also don’t want something that feels cheap after a few months.
Any suggestions on brands or models that hold up well?

Look on YouTube. There are a lot of reviews there. One I use is Monkey Wrench Mike's channel. He is mainly Mercedes car repairs but he does a lot of Ebike reviews. He doesn't sugar coat what he thinks of them. Another person is EbikeSchool.com. He is extremely knowledgeable about Ebikes and batteries.

You will find that quality Ebikes and inexpensive are rarely used in the same sentence.

Steve.

You've picked a great trail bike, you'll be happy with that, Duel Motors climb hills easy and climb over anything
Duel motors and that 48v 24ah battery cost more - it's not overpriced - you'll have good range

But if ya want to spend $1.5 - $2K look at Fat Tire E Bikes with rear hub motor only
Battery sizes vary depending on what bike you buy

Meh. I got a 2021 Rad Rover 5 Fat Tire E bike
750w rear hub
48v 15ah battery x 2
Yes I carry an extra battery in my saddle bag for 2x the range

My Favorite rides are at the Beach

I suggest buying Tannus Armour to help prevent flats
I used to have a Goat Head thorn problem but no more flats ever since I got Tannus Armour

No Goat Head Flats with Tannus Armour

They shipped folded up in a box

Lay out in sun to relax

Yup Tannus Armour still uses an innertube

Tannus Armour is 15mm thick in the center and 2mm thick on the sidewall
Now something has to be over 1/2" long to be able to give you a Flat

I installed Tannus Armour 3 years ago and I haven't got a flat since
