Been running strong last 3+days rain and dry weather seams to run good despite by stock HP carb needed the idel screw almost all the way up to keep it ideling... next to install GPS..
If it was made into a chain tensioner it would charge only when riding but that might be enough

True but this my bug out bike, I need power when idel like a generator

I did lose like 5mph as well top speed

Keeps chewing up the chain! To many rpm fore chain to handle..... Trying pinion gears next!
I would try a belt

My original post for this alternator used a belt, belt keep melting after 2-4 miles, the chain lasted 4 days..... my enemy seems to be friction!

This is how I decided to Mount the new alternator/brushless motor I braised a m5 bore gear to a brushless motor until it fit and braised it together with same gear as bike Then I drilled I small hole behind the clutch plate to Mount the rc brushless motor 3 phase sensorless to a 3 phase...
