DYI eBike custom frame

The EKross frame is steel, but it has plenty of battery space. I could throw away my ammo can based battery box. For 635 Euro, I just might get one. No rear shock included, so budget for that.

I bet one of you guys/gals here at Motorizedbikes could whip up a bike frame like this from parts laying around the yard.

Yea I bet that's going to be one nice bike when he gets done.
I really like the new Adaptto controllers, they look really nice.
Check it out.

Yeah that Adaptto stuff is close to a $1000 pile of bike parts. It's pretty amazing the culture shock between the eBike, and the gas bike communities.

I've come the whole circle. Harley prices, china girl prices, and now back to eBike prices, which aren't a lot unlike Harley prices.

Maybe good timing for you.
I put both my bikes together in the Fall (time of year) so as Winter progresses I ride less, weather and all, that kinda sucks. Bikes and batteries sitting around, since I just ride for fun and exercise. Would be smart to build in the Winter then ride. If a person has that option, if its not the only transport.

That max-e controller is good to 13k peak watts.
That Mini-e is good for a 6k peak output for $620 with 28s BMS and charging coil, so that is a charger you don't have to purchase or pull apart batteries to balance!

Plus that's a cutting edge sine wave controller I think.

I saw an ebike frame for sale on ebay. Seemed kind of over priced. Speaking of which have you seen the price on downhill forks? ouch

Too boxy for me ;) does look cool though. Might try to put my batteries there in the future.

I saw those and like them too. On the one hand you could get a pretty nice complete bike for that much money. On the other hand, for forks like that. that's cheap. When they hit 200 I might think about it.
