Died abruptly while rdiding?

Hello, I have never had any problems with my bike and it is a fairly new motor kit. yet last night I was on my way home from work and it cut off for a split second and kept going and a little farther down the road it completely and abruptly shut off, causing it to halt. The engine now will not turn over, what could that be? novice mechanic yet great with instructions and the will to learn it!

Thank you for any help as I would like to get my ride back!

By 'turn over' I assume you me start.

Start by checking the obvious.
Fuel in the tank?
Wires connected?
Check the plug cap closely, these tend to fall apart sometimes.
Also, check the kill switch if you installed one.
Let us know what you find.

Smitty, it could be a lot of things. Low on gas, something blocking the float bowl valve. When you say it won't turn over do you mean the engine is frozen or just won't fire up.

Best to list what engine you have, carb setting, etc. and any modifications. This will help the experts diagnose your problem.

by turn over yes I mean it won't start, and I surely have fuel. all of my wires are connected and my kill switch seems to be in perfect order.

How would one check the float bowl valve?

I just think it's weird that it died so suddenly in the middle of riding it.

It's an 80cc Wildcat 2015 with no special mods.

by wont start, im guessing it will turn?

check the carb for fuel flow. as Chaz mentioned, it could be blocked.
are you using the intank filter? id suggest to check that out first.. could be blocked completely.
this link here will help you with cleaning the carb/checking float valve.

check your headbolts are tight. that will cause it not to start if they are too loose.

check for spark. could have a bad electronic piece. magneto, spark plug, or CDI.

Check for spark by removing the plug and grounding it to the head, and have someone turn the wheel to spin the engine.
Systematically check for fuel flow from the tank down.
Let us know what you get.
